Are the cushion covers washable?

Yes, our cushion covers are machine washable using the delicate cycle and a mild detergent. First un-zip the cushions and remove the foam inserts, then zip the cushion covers back up and place into the washer. Make sure to not wash the covers inside out as this may damage them. After washing, hang them out to dry or lay flat on a clean surface, do not dry them in a drier.

How to care for Acacia Wood

For regular cleaning, wiping down with a soft cloth and mild soap diluted with water is all that is needed. Be sure to not use any harsh cleaners as that may strip the oil finish. Lastly, dry immediately. 

By nature Acacia will weather to a soft gray. If the oiled look is what you prefer, occasionally re-oiling your furniture will maintain the look. First lightly sand all surfaces with fine grit sandpaper, then wipe everything down with a tack cloth before applying a light coat of natural furniture oil such as teak-oil or linseed oil. Once the oil is set be sure to wipe off any excess with a clean, lint free cloth. 

Note when sanding or scuffing up any wooden outdoor furniture or accessories, do not use steel-wool as particles of the steel-wool may embed themselves into the wood and rust stains can develop over time.
